Nah... it's for real. Not sure how this will change anything with the royalty owner but the stock is way up on the news. When i last looked it was up more than $2 a share.

I think that is wonderful news. I hope this helps their reputation among the mineral owners. I call what they are doing to the mineral owners cheating. I am sure that creative bookeeping has another legal word for it though. I really bet that he pays no fees for his intrest in the wells. Oh maybe that is why these fees are so expensive. Fees financed his retirement. Oh, tell me I do not sound bitter because they refuse to honor contracts.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
