60 percent reduction in oil imports?
We use 20 million bbls each day now.....
We produce 5 million bbls/day
Estimated gain: 1/2 to 2 million bbls/day
Sounds like someone is using 'Wish Math' to calculate a pipe dream. If this did play out, and there is a real 60% reduction in the use of gasoline by 2020, we would have to raise gas taxes plus begin taxing based on mileage driven.
Also in the article: Shortage of women. Sounds like a old western I saw the other day.
