  Is it correct to interpret this information that no new drilling permits were issued in the week ending 1/22?

Martin, please keep in mind that this is a report compiled by the local newspaper (Gannet) from the paper records filed in the District 6 office of the Louisiana Office of Conservation.  Although the pace of permit applications has slowed considerably in District 6 it would be a rare occurrence that there were zero received.  In fact there were a few according to the online database.  The best way to search for new drilling permits is to go the SONRIS Lite Main Menu and choose the search option Permitted Wells By Date/Parish.  When you enter the appropriate dates, 01/17/2012 through 01/20/2012, this is the list you would find (District 6 wells underlined).
