hello and is it required by law or statute that the operators mail your Force Pooling notice, via Certified Mail ?

seems like some do and some do not, but what is the actual law ? does anyone know how to look this up ?

how do they know you got it and can make your Election, if not required to send certified ?

dino,

i've attached a link to the occ's pooling information web-page. note: in my reading of things, it doesn't specify a notice standard other than 'operator must mail'.

you might want to give them a call.

The Court approved expert witness must testify that mailings have been sent out and a copy of the recipients is submitted to the court.

Wow an operator can force pool, take your minerals and not required via Certified Mail ? and by Publication in the local paper as form of notification ?

Sounds like an out of date law to me and written when folks all still lived in the county where their land was located and read the local paper everyday or week and when the postal service was reliable;

what happens when newspapers are obsolete someday !

What a crock .....
