HA is the Haynesville formation, sand or shale (LOC abbreviation). HS denotes Haynesville Shale for most of the members. Though often used interchangeably, HA is correct. We are here to talk "shale", not "sand".

When we abbreviate this site, do we need to make it GHS or GHA?

LP...........I say in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter what you call it as long as you show up on it!! Geehaa sounds to much like a braying donkey or a Middle Eastern holy war. Come to think of it, a lot of us have been called jackasses and we do fight quiet often so maybe you have something there!!!

Many people use HS as a means to silence the debate from dyslexic people.

P. S. Makes you wonder why they made the word dyslexic so hard to spell.

Right! I own Pugs because I can't spell Shih Tzus. I've always dreamed of owning a Bouvier des Flanders, but that's totally out of the realm of my spelling ability, as is Dachshund, Vizsla, and Weimaraner. It was Pugs or Pulis - the Puli looked a tad too high maintenance!

Seriously (and seriously off-topic) I read last week that 99% or more of us misuse the abbreviation "ie." We're supposed to be using something else but like The_Baron, my memory disability got in the way, as in ie., I forgot!

I actually have very little reason to use the abbreviation HA or HS, unfortunately!! LOL!
