As the old saying goes, "Life sucks, and then you die".
On the other hand, there's another old saying, "Drill, Baby, Drill".
I'm not in favor of either. How about, "Reasonable Expectations Don't Disappoint When Proven Wrong Nearly As Much as Unreasonable Ones". Or, "Too Much Exuberance Brings Increased Disappoint When The Eggs Don't Hatch". Or, how about one based on the patch, "One Dry Hole Will Temper Your Expectations For At Least The Next Ten Years".

Hydro, if you are just interested in "any" well permitted in Avoyelles, that's fine but this well is permitted to 5700' and has nothing to do with the AC.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
