Ok I am new to all this so any help will be appreciated! I own one acre in Keithville and no one has ever approached us to lease so we didn't. We were donated this property from our parents in 2006 and they live next door. They signed a lease and have been receiving royalties for months now. We own our minerals so I know thats not the problem but we still have not recieved anything from chesapeake. I'm just not sure what route I need to take to find out whats going on. Any information is greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
Crystal

Crystal,
Why don't you join the Unleased Mineral Owners Group on this site? You can read there about what you need to do.
Good idea, but take a look at parents royalty amount before you make decision. You might want to remain unleased with working interest position. Any way you go you are in a great position, I think.
caiman, very good question. I had same question in mind.
My interpretation is that it ain't going to be worth the song and dance you are going to have to go through to get the money.

When I had similar experience with Fina 10 years ago all it took was a phone call to Fina and I opted for Working Interest. And I am very glad I did. They offered to lease but I preferred WI arangement .

Mr. Aubrey, these folks are dealing with Aubrey.
I was carried. This was in year 2000. Yeah, Fina was a totally changed company after Total.
XTO now owns well.
Caiman, at least one can understand what you are saying, unlike some that you can't make heads or tails out of what they are trying to say,
Actually, Caiman, it is somewhat important and most relevant. Reread what was posted. Are you able to understand how the "game" may be "played?"

Who is the LOC?
I wasn't aware that they have offices in Dallas and Houston.

Also, its Dept of Revenue that is responsible for severance tax audits. They do rely on SONRIS for production #'s
