I miss his post and have not seen him post for a while. I hope he did not leave GHS.

Keith,

I am in need of a referral for a good oil and gas attorney to review SWN La. lease.

Thanks,

Jim Burgess

Jim, I would recommend Randy Davidson or any of the O&G attorneys at his firm, Davidson, Jones & Summers, in Shreveport, 318-424-4342.

Gosh Darn, where the hell are you?

I remember the old timer from Bossier Parish with the bold black posts and the free flowing advice. He is missed and if he is lurking around and reads this, know that some miss his posts and hope he has a GD good 2014.

He is reading the posts but is in suspended animation when it comes to posting.

Well, GD, hopefully, like Chou-En-Lai, you will be able to reappear when Chairman Keith deems you reeducated and reformed.

Doubt if he will reform.

That is GD.

FM,

Never saw anything that was that objectionable from him to get "canned" but it has happened. Just know and understand that there are people on here that if they don't like what you say they will run to Keith and have you banned.  Watch the Chou-En-Lai comments.

I don't comment on a member's status, just my policy, but as long as one stays within site guidelines, one need not worry. And even if an error does occur and they wander beyond them, I almost always give a warning, and sometimes 2, in order to give them ample opportunity. True, I guess I legally own the site, but the guidelines have really been developed over time by the community. Also, what is good for page hits isn't always good for the community as a whole, especially when the community is in a state of flux and change.

For example Joe, if I see a comment or if someone report  comment I go to portion of the site guidelines that govern it, for example

"You will not make any post which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any United States Federal law. Cursing includes usage of any form of a four letter word. I.E., S**t, F*ck etc, are still considered curse words."

So, I ask myself (and sometimes outside counsel i.e. my wife). Does the following violate the actual letter of the "law" or the spirit of the guideline. Is it...

false

defamatory

inaccurate

abusive

vulgar

hateful

harassing

obscene

profane

sexually oriented

threatening

invasive of a person's privacy

etc etc...

When GD was involved in a thread the hits were consistently high. GD did not dance around feet; he stepped on them. However, GD did not call the shots, as you pointed out, and that is a decision that needs no explanation.

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
