I'm thinking you need to check out Eagle Ford in Texas. Apparently a slightly different formation but associated with Edwards Ridge formations. And there is a ton of activity in Texas and booming wells.

Have you seen any good maps online of the Edwards Ridge formations? Do any of the Eagle Ford maps also show the Edwards Ridge? I have seen some really good EF maps (free) online, but they did not show the Edwards Ridge.

To my knowledge, there is not an Austin Chalk group that deals with what is happening in Texas. I think you could start one and see where it goes.
If you are along the Edward's reef then you should have good posibilities for AC and EF.
