FYI - this Austin Chal well will probably have a production profile very similar to that seem in the Prime Rock Resources Sugartown well (SN 251932) that is recently being discussed on this site.

High IP but with massive water production. Rapid decline over first couple of years.

I'm still puzzled why Continental is drilling these wells.

May have figured out how to lower D&C. Plus take advantage of the O&G pricing on short term.

Plus hold onto the acreage via HBP for large units.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
