JB, surface site trespass has no connection to royalty.  It matters where the well is located and whether you own any minerals within the unit or lease well, not where any of the gathering system or above surface tanks, separators or other equipment is located.  You can ask the operator to vacate your property and clean up the site but I doubt that you have any further cause of action unless they fail to do so.  The operator might pay you something for the land by way of purchase or lease.  Once you are positive that the tanks are on your land, I suggest you go over your options with an attorney.

JB. The Petrohawk Hamel well is drilled. It should be fraced soon. It has one of the longest laterals I have seen in the Play to date. I'm hoping it is a barn burner. Some of the members should let us know when they start to frac. The well was Waiting On Completion on 9-28.

JB. I am not focusing on the area where the well was completed so I may not have any further information unless I just stumble across it. I was hoping to stir some interest amongst the Marion County and North Caddo Groups so that one or more members might try to follow the progress. As it's a TX. well, someone that is familiar with the RRC database would be best but it doesn't look like anyone is home at the moment. I can understand, there just hasn't been much to discuss for that area. As Les B. has reminded me this is a Haynesville Shale well in LA. parlance (not Bossier Shale). It does get confusing.

JB; let me invite you to join Cass County And Beyond Group. We are not limited by borders, Countys or Parishes, and I saw you had intrests in Trees. Over time I feel we will have information on the undeveloped portion of the Haynesville Shale. I have intrest in both Caddo and Cass County, and feel this could be a group you can contribute to. Thanks , Tom

JB. There is current leasing activity by a major shale player in north Caddo Parish including your township. I consider this a good indication that your property is prospective for the shale. Although some of the leases I make reference to are current (last 10 days), the pace of leasing may be somewhat retarded by the current price of natural gas and the lack of available credit for many of the major shale players. It may be some months before the picture becomes more clear. Congratulations and Good Luck. Regards, Skip

JB. Your property is just north of the current boundary of the HS. But that's a line on a map and one that has been established with precious little reliable well data in your area. As there is such a tremendous leasehold in the core area of the HS play that's needs to be drilled in the next 3 to 4 years, I do not think that the chances are good that any operator will drill a vertical test well in your part of the parish in the near future. There may be a way to change that but it is a long shot. Particularly while oil and ng prices are down. The boundary line would not have to move far to include your property.

Have approx 10 acres minerals in W H Gilbert Survey for which I was offered $350/ac with 1/5 override with two yr option....don't think so at this time. Dugger is working for Samson. Have a pending question with them on a renewal option that doesn't seem right but haven't had time to work on it yet.
