It sounds like you got a good lease. I am hearing $350 and 21% from others. Can you say who you leased to? I don't expect lease terms to go way up like the Haynesville either because I think that Encana and Devon have already leased such huge blocks that any other large player would not be able to get enough acreage and the smaller players can't afford to drill at these costs.

Hi Keith,

I know your family well.  Good folks, all.

I am hopeful the TMS will prove productive, but it is truly an experimental thing at this time.  JMan does seem to be full of himself, though.  IF he was truly a Scout with inside information, I doubt he'd be leaving his information on a free web page.

I predict that once the information is made public, we'll never hear from JMan, again.

Take care.

I am  interested in landowners like myself getting a fair deal. Some landowners are still being offered leases so we are vulnerable to rumors. At this point, I don't see any good reason to be anything but optimistic about the TMS and am very sceptical of anyone claiming to have inside information and claiming the wells are not godd and the play is not going to succeed. All I can see is positive movements by Encana in that they are still actively leasing, they are moving in new rigs (12-16 I was told by an Encana landman who contacted me about leasing my land), 2 wells are being drilled simultaneously on the Anderson property , two new  well pads are being built next door to me right now - I can hear the bulldozers as I type this on one) and I see them filing unit applications not only in new areas but in locations right next to where they already have a well - like Horseshoe Hill and Weyerhaueser. Maybe the Weyer. is only producing 220 bopd but apparently Encana does not feel at this point like the TMS is not a commercially viable play. I  am concerned that some posters are trying to poo poo the play to keep the bonus $ down so they can continue to pick up cheap leases. I could be wrong.
