"Skip, thank you for your continued focus. I appreciate the explanation. No one wants to get involved in a lawsuit if things will eventually get sorted out. I can’t help but wonder about SWN, and their ability to manipulate funds for whatever…"
I wanted to respond to the current talk about late payments with SWN. We have six adult families involved in our minerals with SWN. My older brother has had many conservations with them about this issue. SWN tells our family these wells…"
Can you help me? I am being told, we are in the 7th month since production began. I contacted SWN who sent it to their "inquiry" analysts. Lag time on that request could be another 2 weeks. Acc to the support line, no ownership…"
"First check will be a "catch up" check that covers multiple months.
Succeeding checks will be only monthly production payments - gas normally two months behind while any oil production can be one month behind. Depends on area and…"
Hi Richard, Thanks for the email. This is land in Sec. 12 T11N R12W. It is family land. My husband's great-grandfather obtained 160+ acres in 1896 through homesteading in the NE quadrant. My husband and his brother have an undivided interest in about 23 acres. It has been almost 2 years since we were last there and the well in Sec 10 was just going up. I think our section is in conflict with the lignite so that is why no one is drilling. We have found a permit in the southwest quadrant that Encana is getting ready to drill this Spring. I assume we will share in these royalties. I don't think we are related to Randy Ryder. I know Mabel Taylor has some interest in the same property plus her husband land on Double Church Road or Grove Hill Road. She's my father-in-laws first cousin. My husband's grandmother was a Lord. Their family is also from that area. We will probaby visit the area sometime this in March or April when the weather gets warmer. What section is your land in?

This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More
