Trust no one!!! I have a oil /gas lease that was constructed by an oil and gas lawyer 4 years ago, it is out of date. I have taken it to another o&g lawyer for an update. There are court cases that have changed what used to be protected. I should have this info Tuesday at Timpson meeting 9/5/08 Don't sign a standard lease!
North East Shelby Co. south of 999 two miles east of Rusk Co. I was approached with 7500 . When I ask the man why would a oil co. have a pipeline constructed to a well site that has not been drilled? He said yes we know it is there. Holding out is one thing but when an oil/gas well comes in well the rent goes up. I'll wait.
