Chesapeake Royalty Owners in the Haynesville

Hi! My name is Katie and I work for Chesapeake Energy in the Haynesville. I would like to open this blog to answer any questions or help guide you through the royalty owner process with Chesapeake. We're happy to have you as a part of our family, and I want to help take care of our family members! This is a general blog to address a variety of concerns, but if specific inquiries begin to emerge on a regular basis, I will split the topics as to better manage timely responses.

Thanks and enjoy!

Well, Katie, after hearing from Ryan 2 wks ago I've had no news and can't get a return call. Can you check for me to see if anything has been done?

Thanks,

Terry

Katie,

I heard from CHK office today and they said my paperwork would be processed next week. I'll reply back here to let you know when it's done.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi, Katie,

Well, as of today I've had no calls from anyone at Chesapeake. I checked with Matador today and they've heard from no one either. What's the next step?

Thanks, Terry

Hey Terry! I'm so sorry you've had problems hearing back from us. Thank you for contacting me and sending over your information. I'll get this to a representative in my department, and try to get you some answers. Since it's the holiday, it might be Tuesday until you receive a call, but I'll definitly make sure you get one.

Thanks for your patience and have a happy New Year!

Katie

Hi, Katie

My friend, kittycatmama, started a thread for me today but it seems to be closed so I will try to contact you this way.

I have 5 acres in 5-13-13 drilled by CHK. I leased to Matador in about Jan 2010. The well went online Mar of 2010. My neighbors have been getting checks for about 5 months. Matador has yet to be paid which means I haven't gotten paid.

About 6 months ago I got a division order from CHK but it showed me as a 100 percent unleased interest. I called Jim Brock and told him I was leased with Matador. I also called Matador who said they had already informed CHK and had kicked in the money for their interest.

About 5 months ago Jim said he had the paperwork and would finish it. Since then, nothing. My land was bought from my neighbor (15 yrs ago) whose family owned a large parcel here. They sold other pieces to various people out here many years ago. My neighbors are all getting royalty checks so I know there's no titling issue here.

If you could check on this for me I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Terry Smith

Katie, how do you find out exactly where a survey is located. I tried to find J. McAnelly or McAnally A-43, but I needed a section no. I do not have that. I am a mineral interest owner and I do not know
exactly where it is located. It is block 7. (Angelina County). Help!
