Chesapeake is often criticized for its financial decisions and aggressive techniques to develop natural gas and oil. In plain and direct terms, this article analyzes each decision and the result is surprising. What are your thoughts?

Happy birthday to the Haynesville! As the play, now the largest natural gas-producing play in the country, celebrates its third anniversary, the debate on hydraulic fracturing continues. What are your thoughts on the argument?

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

Katie, I got an undeliverable notice when I sent an email to your CHK address with a question about the future of the fishing tournament. Now I see a Main Page discussion which appears to indicate that you are not at CHK any more. Skip
Ms. McCullin,
If possible, can you find out why the FAX number (405-879-9558) for CHK's Revenue Payments/Revenue Inquiry Dept. does not work. This 405-879-9558 FAX number is given as a "Contact" number for faxing information/requests per CHK Revenue Payments...and this is the number posted on CHK Energy's Website under "Contact Us" page.
If this number no longer exists, is there another FAX number for CHK "Revenue Payments Inquiry Line?"
Thanks in advance.

Hi Katie,
I had sent you a friend request back on the 9th. I'd like to speak with you regarding an issue we have with CHK. I've got MULTIPLE calls into them now with not one call back. The issue is this: We have a property leased to CHK in a section that CHK has drilled. We leased in 2008 and have not heard a thing since. As it turns out, I went on SONRIS the other day and discovered they've been taking the NG since 12/2008 - About 2.25 Billion Cubic Feet worth. We've not received any divdion orders or one check. This is the 2nd anniversary of production begining and according to my contract with them, they owe us that back revenue plus 12% interest per year for late payment. I also have a clause in my contract that can release us from the lease under these circumstances. I called CHK again today and told them that we have not received a call back. If you would please contact me so I can give you the details. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
