"This week, my mailbox dramatically confirmed the central theme of this thread. I received a notice on behalf of Vine Oil and Gas of applications for 23 CULs in sections 2, 11, and 14 of 9N, 12W and 35-10N, 12 W. The well are divided…"
"Ironic: There are 6 - 8 sections of HA rights in the south sections of 12N 15W and north sections of 11N 15W that BP owned years ago and sold to Comstock. No idea if the sections they had are as good as or better, or worse that the one…"
"to this point, and I've mentioned this before on another thread, I have acreage in 2-9N-12W that had a CUL completed in September 2016 by Vine (GEP owns 1/2 of the well), and the production declined very little for the first 17 months. …"
"this case is very important. The facts were unusual - a large national bank taking an overriding royalty, etc, instead of just taking a mortgage on the leases and wells, along with the assignment of interest in the event of default. Some…"
I received 3 different notices from Tellurian Operating LLC to HA CUL alternate well drilling units in 36, T12N, R11W and 1 and 12, T11N, R11W for 10 wells in those 3 sections, some for "Reservoir A" and others for Reservoir B. I'm not familiar with the "Reservoir" nomenclature. Would A be Haynesville and B Bossier? This area doesn't seem to be core acreage for the play. Several of the sections in that area have not yet had any HA wells drilled in them, although the ones that have been…See More
"this is clearly one of those "the devil you know..." situations. CHK seems to now have a magic touch on designing and completing HA wells. That's good. They are scoundrels when it comes to fairly paying royalties to…"
"I own mineral rights in S2 T11N 15W, part of a block of deep rights Comstock obtained from BP many years ago. Most of the units are held by an assortment of Hosston or old Petit wells. The owner/operator of these shallow wells has been…"
"if the company that is specifically buying up leases or wells for the purpose of supplying NG to their plant for LNG export, then that may be grounds for attacking a proposed taking of land for a pipeline. Such a scenario is highly …"
"your property is about 10 miles SW of mine. My property has had two wells drilled, both pretty good wells. The second one is a very nice producing well that has a very slow decline in production after almost 2 years. I have a lease…"
"Cara: GEP co-operates 2 HA unit wells i have land in that are a few miles west of Pleasant Hill in Sabine Parish. GEP and Vine O&G operate the wells that they bought that were originally drilled by SWEPI and Encana. I've…"
"Always happy to hear about US industry cranking back up.
If we go back 30 years ago, lots of US O&G industry abandoned US made steel products in favor of Japanese products over quality, not price. I don't doubt that China dumps steel…"
"I won't weigh in on the specifics of these particular regulations because I don't know enough about them. But, let it be said, the Obama administration was the most aggressive administration in my (long) life in developing and…"
"I own small bits of land or minerals scattered around Sabine and DeSoto, and get checks (not enough ownership to necessarily get checks every month) from Comstock, Vine, and GEP. Vine and GEP purchased the holdings on SWEPI and Encana.…"
"Not directly on point, but I have a small interest in a CUL drilled by GEP/Vine in 2-9n-12W, Sabine Parish. This is the second HA well for the section, and I was a bit dismayed that my unit interest declined by almost 50% since it is a…"
Steve, I will be meeting with the editor of the Shreveport newspaper to discuss the possibility of a series of articles highlighting mineral owner concerns. I am considering including the Comstock units with multiple expired well permits. It would be helpful if I could ask you a few basic questions. If you are willing to help, please email me at email@example.com
Steve, I fully agree with your reply in the recent Dr. Fine/Robert Johnson discussion. I would like to point out that Robert Johnson is not posting out of interest in a discussion but specifically to increase the "web presence" of Dr. Fine. I don't know if he gets paid or not but the fact that he never makes a reply in these discussion threads and "favorites" each one indicates that he is just pumping up the listing of entries for anyone searching Dr. Fine on the Internet. Keith and I have discussed it and doing so isn't against the site rules and occasionally there is one or more members who do reply so Robert has not been banned from posting to GHS. I'm not a big fan of this kind of activity but it is common on the web.
Thanks for the compliment....... it's wonders what makeup and good lighting can do!!!!!!....... I'm married to Marshal Wayne Whatley from Pineville,La. We've been married for 22 years. Good hearing from you Steve. Hope things are well. I guess I look at this as lagniappe. If it comes, it comes. Just a little extra. But if it doesn't, I'm okay. What part of California. I spent my Navy time in San Diego.
Hello! I hope the site is a place for to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. We now have over 10,000 members.
As exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More
