"Skip is a good man, and also is very knowledgeable about the O&G business (those are two very different things, of course).
I have "family land" that has been in the family since the very early 1900's. A few years ago, I had…"
"under most state laws, Favored Nation clauses are rarely, maybe never, implied. If it is in writing, and from an authorized agent, then you have a good case. There have been cases (and my knowledge in this area is VERY dated) where a…"
"Well, this is indeed interesting. The ability to generate via solar or wind has been evident for several years. The hurdle has been storage. I’m surprised that storage batteries have advanced rapidly enough to now make…"
"This thread has wandered quite a bit. I’ve been pretty busy the last few weeks, and had no time to weigh in.
I don’t think the issue is whether or not the climate is changing. For me, the issue is how fast humanity needs to…"
"the well I mentioned is just east of Stanley, traversed by US HWY 84 east and west and Booker Road north and south. A section is one square mile, so Section 1 of T 11 N, R 15 W is 6 miles from Section 1 of T11N, R16W."
"Comstock has filed for a CUL hearing for 2-11N-15W and 35-12N-15W.
No well permits issued yet for that well. Will be interesting to see how this one pans out. Comstock owns the deep rights in 5 or 6 sections, with several contiguous north/south…"
"This week, my mailbox dramatically confirmed the central theme of this thread. I received a notice on behalf of Vine Oil and Gas of applications for 23 CULs in sections 2, 11, and 14 of 9N, 12W and 35-10N, 12 W. The well are divided…"
"Ironic: There are 6 - 8 sections of HA rights in the south sections of 12N 15W and north sections of 11N 15W that BP owned years ago and sold to Comstock. No idea if the sections they had are as good as or better, or worse that the one…"
"to this point, and I've mentioned this before on another thread, I have acreage in 2-9N-12W that had a CUL completed in September 2016 by Vine (GEP owns 1/2 of the well), and the production declined very little for the first 17 months. …"
"this case is very important. The facts were unusual - a large national bank taking an overriding royalty, etc, instead of just taking a mortgage on the leases and wells, along with the assignment of interest in the event of default. Some…"
I received 3 different notices from Tellurian Operating LLC to HA CUL alternate well drilling units in 36, T12N, R11W and 1 and 12, T11N, R11W for 10 wells in those 3 sections, some for "Reservoir A" and others for Reservoir B. I'm not familiar with the "Reservoir" nomenclature. Would A be Haynesville and B Bossier? This area doesn't seem to be core acreage for the play. Several of the sections in that area have not yet had any HA wells drilled in them, although the ones that have been…See More
Steve, I will be meeting with the editor of the Shreveport newspaper to discuss the possibility of a series of articles highlighting mineral owner concerns. I am considering including the Comstock units with multiple expired well permits. It would be helpful if I could ask you a few basic questions. If you are willing to help, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Steve, I fully agree with your reply in the recent Dr. Fine/Robert Johnson discussion. I would like to point out that Robert Johnson is not posting out of interest in a discussion but specifically to increase the "web presence" of Dr. Fine. I don't know if he gets paid or not but the fact that he never makes a reply in these discussion threads and "favorites" each one indicates that he is just pumping up the listing of entries for anyone searching Dr. Fine on the Internet. Keith and I have discussed it and doing so isn't against the site rules and occasionally there is one or more members who do reply so Robert has not been banned from posting to GHS. I'm not a big fan of this kind of activity but it is common on the web.
Thanks for the compliment....... it's wonders what makeup and good lighting can do!!!!!!....... I'm married to Marshal Wayne Whatley from Pineville,La. We've been married for 22 years. My first husband was Willie Junkin from Delhi, La. Willie and I divorced in 1979, and Wayne and I were married in 1988.
Good hearing from you Steve. Hope things are well. I guess I look at this as lagniappe. If it comes, it comes. Just a little extra. But if it doesn't, I'm okay. What part of California. I spent my Navy time in San Diego.
Hello! I hope the site is a place for to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. We now have over 10,000 members.
As exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More
