Completions:

NFR Energy completed the Miller Well No. 2H to 14,714 feet two miles southwest of Hallsville in the North Carthage Field. This well potentialed 4.824 million cubic feet of gas on a 32/64-inch choke. Production is in the Bossier Shale.


GMX Resources completed the Verhalen "B" Well No. 1H to 16,659 feet eight miles southeast of Marshall in the North Carthage Field. On a 23/64-inch choke the well potentialed 8.190 million cubic feet of gas in the Bossier Shale.

dose this mean this good for the Samuel Murphy sur A -15
Jerry, the NFR Nordheimer well was completed about 1000 feet west of the S. Murphy Survey, A-15, on the north side of Hwy 43, about six months ago. I don't know what type of well it is.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
