12/8/2009: New EIA report updated and revised and reduced estimated decline in production for next year and lowered the average Henry Hub spot price expected for 2010 from $5.01/MCF to $4.62/MCF

EIA also expects Henry Hub natural gas prices next year to rise 17 percent from 2009 to $4.62 per thousand cubic feet but said gains should be limited by relatively strong domestic production, lower electric power use and uncertainty about the recovery in industrial demand (Reporting by Joe Silha; Editing by Marguerita Choy)

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
