HI KATHLYN YES THERE ARE ACTIVE WELLS IN KEATCHIE THEY JUST COMPLETED A NEW ON ON KEITHVILLE KEATCHIE RD.
thanks Kim. Would you happen to know which company the new well belongs too?
hi keb trinidad is posted i would assume chk owns it
Kim, is it true IF A GAS CO. PUTS A PAD ON PROPERTY NEXT TO OURS, IT'S TOO LATE FOR US TO LEASE AT THAT POINT BECAUSE THE PAD HAD BEEN PLACED? PLEASE HELP!
Thanks Mr. Buckner. A landman from CHK told my husband that if we don't lease before a pad/well is laid, we will be skipped over!the land that's supposed to have a well drilled early next yr. is attached to ours; i belieive it's in the same section, section 5. Is it we won't get paid until the well is paid for maybe?
hi keb when i purchased my property there were wells near my property line but after a title check my attorney assured us we would get the mineral rights within 4 years. so it depends on how the grids fall . spent all morning at the courthouse this week and still unsure of my status but i havent seen where i dont have them. in my situation im surrounded by 3 large property owners and if a company leases a certain percentage of the grid then i miss out on the lease but will come in on on the play once a wells dropped. thats my understanding anyway
Kim, I would like to have a title search done; is it expensive? who did yours? Wishing you well.
hi keb we did our title search in 1992 when i purchased the property at that time i think it cost around 200.00 the attorney i used is now basically retired but all the dealings i had with chesapeake this year we used the bethards in coushatta. but ive been told that title searches can go few hundred to as much as 1000.00. currently i'm searching myself at the courthouse the staff at clerk of courts are very helpful
