I have mineral interest in Marion county but it appears that there is little activity
any one k ow if there are plans for drilling in Marion county?

Gas will have to go way back up to spur any interest in the northern part of the play, as much as it sucks the shale in the northern areas is nothing to write home about.
Ronald, there have been no announced plans by any of the operators to drill additional Haynesville/Bossier Shales in Marion County.
If you listen to Exco Resources Q & A on their most recent presentation, the CEO of Exco Resourses seems to agree with you, J. R.. When asked if they were still leasing any acreage, he indicated that they were, but he said something to the effect of "just don't show me anything in Marion County". Not his exact words, but very close. He could clearly be wrong, but he was pretty matter of fact.
I'd love to know what all those landmen are paying for leases in Marion Co., Texas. If there is that much activity in the courthouse and it is related to leasing, it shouldn't be a problem finding out what the lease terms are on a web site that has 10,000 members. Some of them have to live in Marion Co. Any of you folks out there living in Marion Co. been leased in the last month or so and want to share the info?
If activity on GHS's Marion County group is an accurate indicator, those landmen are stuck in the courthouse and haven't made it out to offer many leases. We can follow Electro's post on the Marion County Group Page and see if there is anything stirring in Marion County.
