Fast and furious, Jason. Come on up.
There is brisk activity in the southern section of T-8. Scattered leasing in T-7, this includes 13-W & 14-W on both.
Was told today a company by the name of Devon had a significant lease holding in parish, but check of their website indicated leases in Texas and around Webster Parish, but nothing in Sabine. Anyone familiar with this company? Does it have a presence in Sabine Parish?

Actually one of the better companies out there as far as drilling expertise is concerned. When they purchased Mitchell Energy, Devon ended up being one of, if not the main, pioneer companies out there to develop horizontal drilling techniques. Very active thoughout Texas part of the play, but seem to also now making some movement into LA as well.
Thank you D.G.,
The information is greatly appreciated.
Devon stated they are exploring in the "Southern Area" of the play. They define this as being Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Sabine Counties and Sabine Parish. Devon doesn't drag their feet from what I've seen.
Has any one noticed in East texas what Devon is paying? Am I a naysayer?
HK's departure has been felt ---
Does this make me a nay sayer?
That and cheasapeakes venture towards oil can't be a + for people unleased.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
