This is a separate HS Well HOF for Texas only due to the generally lower initial rates.

The list includes wells that had an initial rate of at least 8 MMcfd.

LesB, Thanks for your hard work. Very informative! jhh
Here's a new one in Panola Co with IP info released tonight. Looks like it would tie that XTO/Horned Frogs DU 1-H at #19 on your list!

Panola County

The Carthage Field has seen XTO Energy Inc. complete two new wells. The Louis Werner Sawmill Well No.12H is located 2.7 miles southwest of DeBerry with a depth of 17,255-feet and potentialed 6.997 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 20/64-inch choke. The Scott R. McGee Well No.12H is located 10.1 miles northeast of Carthage with a depth of 16,690-feet and potentialed 9.728 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Haynesville Shale formation.
Has anyone put these locations on a map? I have tried using the Texas database and it hard to locate the wells.
LesB,

HORNED FROGS # 1H

12/2009 N/A 0 0 179,959 179,959 02
01/2010 0 0 0 328,632 328,632 02
02/2010 0 0 0 295,615 295,615 02

Why do you suppose production of 804,206 in presumably just under 90 days which equates to roughly 10,000 Mcfd which is higher than the IP number for just 24 hrs ? I assume this is not the norm where average daily production increases for this long a time period over the IP.
Les,

I was also looking at the current production from the Kardell well and 10/2009-02/2010 it shows production of 592,000 Mcf with no report for November 2009. On the conference call last month the execs claimed production thus far to be near 1.4 Bcf. This would put Novemeber production at near 800,000 Mcf or near 27,000 Mcfd for the month. Is it possible that November's huge numbers were too much for the fractures that were created causing them to collapse? This being the reason for the issues that this well had since? Is that hypothetically something that a different product (sand, or propant) can solve thus keeping large production numbers flowing or do they have to just control/choke down the pressure/flow as best as they can?
AL, I thought Devon only said that the Kardell well had produced 1 Bcf in its 1st 90 days which probably meant ~ 500 MMcf in November.

There has been no information regarding problems with the Kardell well so it would be premature to suggest there has been any type of downhole damage. The production rate would not have necessarily caused any problem with the well.
AL, not typically but sometimes a well is still "cleaning up" when the IP is measured and has not yet reached its maximum rate. Also, if the well was being restricted due downstream capacity limits or some other reason it could produce "on plateau" for 2-3 months.

By the way, where did you find the production information for this well?
Les B,
Please elaborate on the term "on plateau"
Thanks
Cheerleader, that just means being able to produce the well at a near constant rate (ie 10 MMcfd) for the 2-3 month time period.
Les,

Here's a link on the TX RRC site to search for production for a specific lease:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/PDQ/leaseSearchAction.do

Click on the "Containing these characters" bubble on "Search for lease name field" and then type in the name of the well you are looking for.

In the district field scroll down and click "06" for that region of East Texas.

The page will refresh and give you a list of leases that will match your criteria. Locate the one you are looking for, highlight it, and click "Submit".

Page will refresh again. Add the inclusive dates that you want to search production for, hit "Submit" and there you have it.....

For example, if I want info on Noble's "Mary Harris" well then I'll put "Mary" in the "Lease" field and click the "contains characters" bubble.

In the next page I'd scroll down to "Harris, Mary", highlight that and click.

Then I'd put the search dates as 01/01/09 - 04/01/10 and "Submit":

And here's what you get:

DG, thanks but it was the "Horned Frogs" lease I have not been able to locate.
Les B, use the Production Peport Query: Production by Lease and use the status number of the well (Horned Frogs=681325) instead of the lease ID #. Then choose Pending instead of Gas Well.
