Exco has supposedly applied to drill EXCO, HA RA SU100,section 1. I can't find it on Dept. of Cons. site. It is Bethany Longstreet Field. Curious if they filed for more than one well
I think the likely scenario is that EXCO has sent out pre-application notice letters to form a unit (HA RA SU100) as Section 1 is the last section not under HA unit order in 13N - 15W. There is no well permit as this time, only a unit application in it's early stages.
Did you find the unit ap in DNR? I looked and looked and couldn't find it. Is there a way to search by fields in DNR?
kcm, the units you mention will not appear on the commissioner's public hearing schedule for a week or more. They are currently too early in the process. However, it is rare that pre-application notices do not turn into Commissioner hearings. And it is even rarer for those applications to be turned down upon their hearing. Keep in mind that unit applications are an early indication of an operator's intention to develop but do not guarantee that a well will be drilled.
thanks for the info Skip. We have some reserved minerals in that area, so it is of interest to me.
The application will show up in the near future as a docket number with the Bethany-Longstreet Field notation.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
