Anyone having problems with loading problems on GHS? I am running a hot rod rig, 6 core with all the goodies. GHS is lagging. The little circle swirles for a while and I don't have time to wait for 2 minutes for it to pop up?

Working okay here..
its okay here
I too have had that problem. I have a quad processor, comcast high speed and still the site loads slowly SOME of the time. Of course, it doesn't always recognize me anymore either, so sometimes I can post and sometimes I can't. The site seems to have changed about 3 wks. ago
At least for me, the combination of ads and logged on members display seems to pretty much drag the machine I most frequently use to its knees.  It IS an older machine,  3 GHz but single core, I expect that not having multiple GB of memory is part of the problem too (I have a newer W7 box, more horsepower, but had problems getting my account recognized there - presume it is a W7 issue of some sort that I did not want to spend time on).  The site does suck up a lot of horsepower... (typically my cpu is pegging if I have the site up); probably spikes worse depending on the ad content.  Anyway, response is sufficiently bad I just always intersperse with other activities as best as I can.

GHS is lagging for me too.  I think the problem started right after the main board prompt was removed.

When's the last time it didn't recognize you?
What would having all those mega giga bells and whistle gaming machines have to do with internet throughput speed?
two dogs, throw another pine knot on the fire!
TD, I'm running a very slow (for this day and age) 1.3 GHz machine. with a slow (1.3 Mb/s download rate) broadband connection. I'm not having any problems at all. You might want to go on line and do an internet speed test. With a machine that you describe it should not be in house. Got to be the link.
How do other sites do? Are they slow too?
