Section 13 is an El Paso Haynesville Unit.  The section is Held By Production by some Hosston wells and El Paso can wait indefinitely to drill Haynesville wells.  Section 14 is a Comstock Haynesville Unit and has two wells.  The Colvin-Craner HZ was completed 6-25-2009 and Robinson 14HZ has been drilled but not completed.
I received a notice from the attorney for El Paso that they were presenting an application to the state to begin drilling in section 13 sometime in 2011. There was a hearing in Feb. to apply for permit(s)
murray, what you received was a unit application notice letter.  The unit was approved and El Paso is the unit operator.  The unit designation is good indefinitely.  There is no required time for drilling wells.  Since the leases are held by production, El Paso can drill whenever they get ready.  That may not be any time soon.  When El Paso does file for a well permit, you will not receive any notice as that is not required by law.
Thanks for the information. I did speak to a landman at El Paso named Corie Graham and she said that El Paso's plans included drilling in section 13 in 2011. Of course, that's no sure thing. Do you know anything about the Wimberly in section 14 that was drilled to about 11600' by Comstock in 2010 and still says "waiting on completion" in SONRIS in the scout report section of the well information?
Processing of field reports by the District 6 staff is running about 2 months behind.  Including the delay associated with an operator filing the report, the delay in making the report available online could easily be 3 months.  Since there are about 500 HA wells currently Waiting On Completion, it is obvious the wait for a frac crew is often lengthy.
