Leasing in Northern part of East Baton Rouge Parish

I've heard a rumor from two sources that there is leasing in the Northern part of EBR Parish around the Plains. This is Northwest of Zachary. Supposed to be for Austin Chalk with a well drilling before the end of the year. Just GLAD its not Anadarko.

Hey Joe, I saw 3 Halliburton trucks at the corner of 964 and 61 yesterday. Have you heard of any land lease going on in the plains.

Yes, there is leasing being done in the Plains.

The Halliburton trucks are headed to one of the wells up North that they are setting up to frack later this week.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
