Gas prices going up but royalty payments going lower in the Haynesville . Coldest weather on record. Why is that happening ?

It is the coldest weather across the country, and the price of natural gas is over 4.00 yet royalty payments stay low with low volume from wells in the Haynesville. Will this change ?

CHK notoriously pays about $1.00 less per mcf than the other company I receive a check from.   I've asked several people, both at CHK and some not connected with them and have received a different answer from everyone.

Sort of along the same thought line...

Record cold

Increased usage

Decreasing reserve

Yet, the price per thousand is continuing to drop... why is this? All of the prices at the Distribution centers is up, some such as in New York are into the 'stupid' level. Just one of those things that I still do not understand about the O&G industry.

Weather forecasts are for a mild winter after the current cold temperatures. So demand will not be there and storage is still full because it has been at record levels for the last 5 years.

The NOAA weather forecasts for Dec. and Jan. were for WARMER  than normal. NOAA also predicted a super active hurricane season in 2013. NOAA is starting to lose their credibility. They are pushing the global warming agenda. Once you cry wolf too many times, people stop listening

Unfortunately, people don't understand the word "global".  Most people don't realize that the lower 48 only accounts for 2% of the global surface area.  NOAA problem isn't about crying wolf, its about people not being able to look beyond the horizon.

P.S. in regard to hurricane season, would it surprise you that the Atlantic had 13 named storms and the Pacific where NOAA only predicted 11-16 named storms had 20 named storms.
