heard spuding starts in march on caddo property... another couple of questions..

found out they are spuding the well in march. What time frame am I looking at as far as receiving royalties pending that nothing goes wrong?. Will they frack the site several times? When the well gets online will I be able to track its progress daily. Thanks for all you guys imput. Happy new year..

In a typical horizontal they will frac in one operaton, but in many stages. SONRIS will probally only show the monthly and required reports, but you could go to the drillsite and ask the toolpusher what is going on. Tell them you are a royalty owner and they may be more helpful.

I would expect to wait several months after completion to get any royalties, depend s on how long it takes to put together the division order.
I am a royalty owner in a well that has been drilling over 130 days so far. They had trouble and had to whipstock and redrill the lateral. Bad things can happen and when they do, be glad to be a royalty owner. I'm just hoping to get to the point where the well can be frac'd and completed.
I've heard some stories about this well. They are 12 million in already with no end in sight. Bad day for the WI owners....

You are probaly in good shape if you own your minerals. But don't think you will track anything on a daily basis unless you have access to the site and know how to read the meter, or you know who is checking the well.
I agree with Bird dog, unless they are required to provide the information under the terms of the lease.
