I,m located 1 mile north of germantown. Our place is a total of about 190 acres. We were contacted by a middleman trying to start a pool. Bids are to be opened 08/15/08. Is anyone else in this area been contacted? This is area B2 on the webster map.

Snakestewart; what happens when the heat is on to lease the land around Doyline and the O&G Cos have made you an offer that you can't refuse? And the companies don't want land in townships 19 and 20.
Are you with the group as a whole then or just local Doyline.
It's hard to belive that 20 to 25K per acre wouldn't seperate the group you speak of quicker than a good quarter horse would seperate the one calf out of the group of calves.
Have you even read any of the old posts ? Unfortunatly you dont know me at all. If you had you would not have even said that. If flight from ones promises is a flaw that appears to flow freely through the veins of the people that you have been associated with ,enough to cause this much mistrust in you then I am truly sorry. Or is it a character flaw that you possess, that causes you to question my integrity without just cause ?

Who else do you know of that is trying to put a zero fee group together, with the central location that we have, that you have been invited too ? Why would I continue to invite people north of I-20 when they have said you were of no value to them and that it could hurt the value of other property ? What choice do you have ? Giving a guy( according to one of your group) that used to trade beaver pelts, 5% to hand over your info to an auction house for sealed bids , doesn't sound all that great to me . You have no say whatsoever.How would being in a larger group hinder you one bit ? You were never under any obligation , you would have had a vote on any and every offer brought to the table. Please explain to me in plain English how your offers would not have risen just because you were in our group. If the tables were turned , How fast would your calf separate ?

At the 6 % meeting we were told in advance that they were basically useing our lands to pump the price of their Greenwood properties. We would not be signing the same lease as the other group.Meaning we had no chance of making the same bonus. My question to any and all is , if I couldn't choke down that stuff at someone elses meeting , how in the world ,would I choke it down at my table ?

When I give someone my word , you can bet on it. Try me , I dare you ! If you to the north do not benefit from being in this group, you have lost absolutly nothing. But you have gained everything . What exactly have you to offer ? The only thing you have is your word ! Because remember , "your land is no good". I have stated numerous times to numerous people , that I have been in your shoes. Being told your land isn't in the play isn't fun to hear. They have done all they could to devalue our entire parish. Now we have to deal with it from within. To the extreme south , "we are more like Bossier so we expect Bossier money. We would actually rather be in Bossier because the money is twice as high. Never mind the rest of Webster! " The prices are higher there , For now .

I have stated from the very first SWAMO post why I am doing what I am doing. Friends , family and its the right thing to do. I have bled H/S to the point of physical and mental exhaustion. I am so far over my head that I can almost see my feet. I have pleaded for help and given the opportunity for people to get in at the ground floor.This is not about me , it never has been. I am an open book. In a few years, when we get to look back and really see what has happened and how different things turned out , one thing that I know for sure is that everyone will be able to say that Scott "Snake" Stewart did what he said he would do. He is a man of his word.

I do not have control over any member of this group.Only me and mine. Just as I have no control over you or any of our neighbors that decide to go another route.The only thing I can do is try to make it perfectly clear that to reach our maximun value it will take maximun effort and cohesivness from everyone that is a part of this group.Everyone looking out for everyone else. Are people going to leave us early ? I hope not but I am quite sure they will. The only way people got paid in Fort Worth was by saying NO ! When they tried to cut out the other side of their group , NO ! When some people were told they were not on the Shale, the Group said, PROVE IT ! I am in this for the long haul. If you don't believe that , join with me and PROVE IT!

Sorry S/C , my "hottie" wife told me during my "angry typing" that I was over reacting as usual. It is difficult to say the least to keep your emotions at bay when something this powerful and life changing is barking at your door.I hope that you can see through my "angry typing" enough to see that your opinions of me and my actions are far more important then all the money on the Haynesville. Dad taught me a long time ago that a man is only as good as his word.

Many times have I and will I ,continue to take angles of approach that could have been directed in a less offensive manner. I can't say it is a fault because it is a part of who I am . I will say that I wish it were not such a dominate feature. On the other side of the coin I do not believe you will ever find anyone anywhere that means success in this endeaver more then the guy that sits between my two ears.

I feel partly to blame for some that have been taken advantage of in my area. Nobody knew or could have helped the first ones.The really big landowners.But there have been many more that have signed too early to really receive the best that they could have gotten , due to silence on my part. Are they happy with their choice ? I certainly hope so. We all have different things that drive us to make the decissions that we have to make. Hopefully we will be able to take full advantage of this once in 5 lifetimes opportunity. We will never have another shot at this.Lets pray we make the right choices while we can.

P.S. Dont worry about the high blood. I had that 4 months ago. It has done vaporized by now. ( LOL ) Better get . Its late. Thanks for the wake up. Every once in a while a fella's gotta get a gut check to make sure he's where he needs to be.

George, I contacted CHK on Friday via e-mail and ask if they were coming to South Webster and I was told via e-mail they weren't interested in our area.

I live in A1, but I got to tell you. I believe a lot of this is misinformation they put out to keep the other O&G guessing.
I just heard the same thing, Chesapeake isn't the only company in the play.
Hey Tim , According to the 6 % guy's in Doyline Sunday afternoon , most of the big players are interested in big chunks.Even if they are not interested in your 5 acres , they will come for your thousands!

Snake is right. Even though CHK is not interested (right now), there are other companies (many others) rushing to the area and scoping out the play. This brings along alot of "unsavory" attention from money-hungry individuals willing to represent you or your group for a fee.

We have 280 acres in T-20, R-8, as well. However, our land is in Claiborne Parish.

Have heard from one guy, who said he was trying to put together a "small" oil deal. The offer was pretty low and he hasn't called back.

Always interested in leasing our land.
