What exactly does this mean?  They haven’t gone any deeper in a week.

Could be indicating that they used smaller and less expensive rig for this part of the hole. And that they have now released that rig and are waiting on larger rig to continue drilling. Very common practice in today's Hz drilling world.

Okay. Thanks Rockman!

ANOTHER UPDATE on 11/11/19 "RIH W/FREE POINT; SEVERED PIPE @ 14754'; TOOH; TSST BOP'S 11/7/19 (ANNULAR: SCHAFFER, 13.5/8", 5000; RAMS: CAMERON TYPE U 13-5/8", 5-1/2" & VBR, 10000); MAKE WIPER TRIP TO CLEAN HOLE TO 14754'; LOG INTERMEDIATE F/14654' TO CSG SHOE; CURRENTLY RIH TO CONDITION TO RUN 9-5/8" CSG."

Thanks for posting this. Operations clearly discuss cutting off lost/ stuck pipe, cleaning up wellbore, getting logs and prepping to run casing. Expect next report to be completion of casing run and prepping to pick up drilling tools.

So are they walking away from this one or are they going to move over & try again on the same pad just like they did with Crowell #1 to Crowell #2 251809.   Wasn't this the well that the ENSIGN 777 was going to or was it another one?

No, they are doing all this work to allow them to continue drilling in this well. They will sidetrack around the abandoned part of the hole with the junk / stuck drill pipe et al after setting the 9.625" casing

Good to hear!

Work permit application for this well dated 11/13/2019: sidetrack: set a cased hole whipstock inside 9 5/8” csg, , mill out window, drill curve and td the Austin chalk lateral.  The proposed setting depth of the cased hole whipstock is 14690’, depending on the final csg tally.

Good deal!   Looks like they are still working on it.   I know on Kirk's Blog this was a difficult drilling area too.

I see that there is s permit for these guys a saltwater disposal well
