Can anyone tell me how to search for wells on the new SONRIS by using the section township range? I can't find that feature anywhere. It was easy before. Thanks

Same here. Seems they have removed that function or want users to search STR within another report.
Jed and a, I have contacted the SONRIS staffer leading the database update. I'll let you know what she says. I looked for that search option and could not find it also.
They are also missing wells by serial number and wells by operator
I noticed. Much is being rearranged on SONRIS. I will ask about and check on all those popular search options and let all the members know how to access them once they are finished being changed. Please continue posting what is missing.
I think the architecture was determined before Carrie Wiebelt was brought back to help make it work. We'll have to be patient and hope for the best. In the meantime I am considering an Enverus subscription for 2026. If the new version of SONRIS is not as user friendly, I'll have a backup. And I will be able to continue to answer questions and help members.
I am passing along your comments concerning which basic search options are missing. The SONRIS staff has acknowledge those comments. Please be patient and those concerns will be addressed.
I went to Sonris!
What a mess….
Is there a tutorial I missed…
John, I'm sending questions and screen shots to the SONRIS staff. In my last email I asked for a tutorial. Many of the searches that were previously denoted with a light bulb icon now appear to have the grid icon. Those have always been harder for many to use. I have found in the past that the major problem for many in using them was the penchant to try and fill in every box. The better approach is to only use a few. The drop down boxes for dates are also problematic. Instead of trying to explain further I will wait to get a reply to may request for a tutorial.
The current posting is worthless!
I agree but think it will get better and then I can help everyone with the simple searches that help them manage their minerals. At any rate, we are along for the ride and will just have to be patient.
I just got this from the SONRIS staff.
I plan to have an online class once we get everything updated

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
