Natch apparently is having trouble with his Bible. Here is the Philippians quote: Philippians 4:6-7 (King James Version)

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Nothing about glorious riches there.

You Christians need to use your Google Bible search. I am using the greatest invention of Satan yet: the internet.

"..with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." We're on the same page....one thing you have to realize....Jesus never wrote scripture..it was passed down by man and written in accordance with the circumstances of that time and influenced by the same i.e. politics, language, customs, etc. That is why the Gospels have differences and conflicts.

I do believe that God's willingness to hear my petitions and grant same is a huge strike for riches.

On I thought it was Al Gore on the internet..sorry...Satan must have been converted to Christianity as the word of God is readily available globally than it has ever been thanks to the internet.

If Al Gore ain't the Anti-Christ I don't know who is. How do you suppose God knew to put the Haynesville shale under your door 50 million years before you even started praying for those worldly riches? On the other hand, He surely was beneficient with those A-Rabs, and they don't even believe in Jesus. Really, for a supposed Christian to be so damned enthusiastic about getting rich and not having even done anything to get rich....you have to wonder what Jesus would think, or rather is thinking.

God knew me before I was even in my mother's womb....my prayers are in thanksgiving.

I do not believe that Al Gore is the anti-christ because he lost the election by a hanging chad...just doesn't fit the profile of the anti-christ and by the way the anti-christ is a beast..not a man...since you are taking the literal meaning of biblical passages and not going outside the box in critical thinking.

The Arabs (muslims) do believe in Jesus, just that he is not the messiah although they believe in his immaculate conception and Mary as being the Queen of Heaven...just a thought.

Here we go again. The Bible doesn't say anything about God knowing you before you were in your mother's womb. What it says is this:

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. Psalms 139:13, King James version.

Well, I can agree that Karl Rove is the beast. He's the one who won that election.

Odd that you would say the Bible is not literally true. So, the earth and everything weren't created in seven days? Hmmm....sounds like evolution to me.

When they do try to nationalize, I fear the outcome will be much different then they anticipated.

There may be a short term increase in taxes as the Dems, if they win, will have to face the large deficit left by out-of-control Bush spending (it isn't wise generally to increase spending by 300% while cutting revenues) and re-balance the budget ala Clinton.

For a nonpartisan you sure sound partisan. Question? Louisiana has been controlled by the dems in both the house and the senate for 140 years. So why does Louisiana rank last or dead last in. Education, pregancy,income, roads,housing,cancer rates,birth rates etc. I know who is to blame do you?

I agree about the 300 % spending but when you are trying to rebuild our millitary that was ransacked by a previous administration , fight off terrorist attacks , police the world because you are the last true super power capable of doing so. Not to mention spend $700,000,000,000 on imported oil because we don't want to drill or refine in our own country.

The Republican party has dropped the ball on a lot of spending that shouldn't have taken place.Add to that the fact that there was little to none of any oversight whatsoever in the vast vacuum caused by Katrina.They have , in the past , been the slashers of pork barrel spending and the watchers of sane simple spending habits. Those days seem to be gone. At least until we get another shot at putting someone in these offices that just might look out for me every once in a while.
