Electro, my dogs bladder is discharged by messages to the abdomine, by me, the first thing in the morning. He broke his back a few years back, and his back end ain't worked under his control since then.
Electro,
I only did it once and learned the error of my ways! You guys have it so much easier when it comes to elimination!
I can squeeze a wieeny dog in a minute. They taught me how to do that at LSU vet school.
I am not going to touch that one!!
First you feel for the bladder, then when found, you message the bladder, over a Wall Street Journal, until all pressure goes from 20 lbs to nothing in the distcharge, then you send him on his way dragging a trail of pee behind him.
Thanks Dorcheated A1 for starting this discussion. I have learned a lot about tomatoes that I needed to know since I love to grow them every summer but haven't had much luck until last fall. I got some of the heat resistant tomato plants in late August and by frost I didn't have one ripe tomato, but tons of green ones. I picked them off and stored them on cardboard in the utility room and was eating ripe home grown tomatoes in January.
Usually the tomatoes that I buy in January taste like cardboard!
I have heard that wrapping green tomatoes in newspaper will keep them for months.
I wrapped some in newspaper and it seemed to speed up the ripening processss so I unwrapped some to make them last longer. I am planting some plants late this year to make sure I have lots of green ones to keep for winter. I just refuse to pay those high prices for those awful tomatoes.
Rosebud,

I saw your arbor in the picture. I had one just like it in my garden over my path down the middle and had the sweet 100's growing on it for several years. It finally broke last year and it has been patched up too many times. I think it has had it. I will have to get a new one. I hope Michaels has them. I think I got that one at Fred's. They grow up and over the top and looked really pretty and are so easy to pick. My son and brother thought I was crazy when I put it up, but then they thought it was a great idea when they started growing up and over.

Yep, I love this site. Never can learn too much about gardening. Learned to plant them really deep, trim the stems off the bottom, and I use Osmocote Slow Release Fertilizer when I plant and lots of Compost. A guy I work with told me to spread newspaper over my garden and cover it with grass clippings and I won't have weeds. I have tried that before, but I don't think I did it thick enough. He said to buy the book "Lasagna Gardening" and follow it. I am going to get it.

Also, some of my friends freeze their tomatoes, peppers, etc whole in the Food Saver. They say it comes out almost as good as Fresh. I am going to try that.

I always put my tomatos that I pick stem up on the counter, but a lady came in one day and told me that an older man told her that they were suppossed to be stem down, so she turned them all over. Who knew???????????

Keep those helpful hints coming. I don't have mine planted yet, It won't quit raining and I can only work on weekends. My yard looks horrible. Can't wait for a pretty weekend.
It's coming Rosebud, you have about 4 hours before it hits.
Rosebud, now we know why you offered Dorcheated A1those pots - getting rid of some of that "yard mess". LOL
Robert,
Believe it or not, I eat tomatos in a salad, or I cut them up and put Ranch dressing, Toneys and pepper on them and eat them that way. But I rarely eat them on hamburgers. Thanks for the advice Robert now that I know better what I'm looking for, I'm going shopping again today, I will buy that variety.
