My wife and her sister inherited 4 acres of land in Desoto Parish. They will inherit 140 more acres after Grandmother (God Bless Her) passes. She signed a three year lease last year for the rate of 10,000 per acre. If my wife and her sister inherit that land what happens to the lease that Grandmother signed. Are the Grandaughters held to that contract?

Yes the grand daughters are the new lessors.
Yes all future owners will be bound if it is drilled on time and production continues, and predictions are for this shale to last for decades.
