Natural gas is currently at $2.94. I was hoping it wouldn't trade under $3.00 although it sure looked like it was heading there!

Abundant and cheap. Sounds like the solution to our national energy needs! Maybe we should remind America's Natural Gas Alliance to mention that in D.C. When the market gives us lemons, make lemonade.
look at my posting on this weeks storage report. We are lucky its not lower.
Yeah, I saw it and read some warnings from Les. So it's not a surprise. It is however a disappointment that the market doesn't seem to have reached a bottom.
Thanks, SB. I'm peeking between my fingers. lol Here is where I invoke an old adage ... "It ain't easy (to drill), but it (the ng) is cheap." Don't be surprised if Skip "resembles" this. :-P
No. The one I resemble is, " I may be small, but I'm slow".
Huh ... OHHHHH!!!! lol IMHO, these prices certainly are "small," hopefully not so slow coming back up. I KNOW, I KNOW ... probably at least mid to late 2010. :0)
Do you knoqw what will happen no? I am with Hunt/XTO and heard that it had to go to 4.25 before they would be able to hold their own and do anymore. I have not received any$'s and the well that I am attached to has been shut down. We have not received the division order yet and I don't think they will pay until that is complete. Can you shed some information on this?

Mtr
My sister and I have been trying to get a handle on this.....we thought that we had made some headway about 3 weeks ago with getting the Division Orders completed and mailed; however, we've not had any contact with them since then.....we can't seem to get them to answer. Here is an e-mail address that you might check out to email someone who was supposed to be getting this Division Order to go through:

Carolyn_Dean@xtoenergy.com

Deanna_Garcia@xtoenergy.com

Maybe you can have better luck than me.
If your DO has been mailed back, your next "communication" will be a royalty check
amigo, it's not the worst thing in the world for you if they drag their feet a little bit.By dragging their feet I mean not selling the gas right now. Timing is everything on this deal. take my situation for example. I sign in 2006 for $150 an acre and a year or so later people are getting $20000. then they complete my well in may and I get my first check this week for @2.82-3.17 gas for three months where a year ago it was $13.00. Now I realize it wasn't that high for very long but these wells go down pretty quick and the first six months you would like the price to be decent. bad timing.
Bloomberg shows November gas at $5.00 at 1514 EST.

They also have an article, Natural Gas Futures May Rally Toward $5: Technical Analysis, you may find interesting.
Yeah, and the little widget on this site shows it over $5 and climbing.... "I like this trend!".... hopefully we see this continue... be nice to 'off-set' my losses that my 401K, Stocks, and Real estate took during the 'free-fall'... as well as for all the rest of those in the O&G industry affected by past decline.

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling
