Keith--- something wrong on your coordinates for they are not in NW part of county in Cushing but in the SE part in the Platt/Etoile North area which EOG has several good shale wells just to South of that area. What Survey are your minerals located in? How many net mineral acres your family have? Do you also own surface?

Keith --unforturely not much active in the area these days. As far as what to ask in lease there first has to be activity in leasing which today nothing going on. If you, your sister, and grandchildren are heirs of these mineral I assume deeds have been recorded in County Clerks office of records for this is way the Landsman will be able to locate owners of minerals if a operator has interest in area. With no activity it's fruitless to contact any company. If you are contacted one day about your minerals then ask lots of questions to landsman about who he leasing for and what Formation they interested in. Then get on line here with details -- read post about leasing -- there is lots of information on this site. For present just make sure mineral deeds filed for all owners in family and recorded for record . Hope this helps you for present time. The land rush of 2007/2008 is over and doubt we ever see anything like it in our life time again.

I use to have a lease with Samson and my father took care of it up until he passed away. I called Samson and had everything switched over between my sister and I and his grandchildren after he passed. Since then the lease has expired and have heard nothing from them, and long lost the the name and number of the landman there, was Keith something. Should I call and pursue them for a new lease or contact another company with better chances of drilling? I'm in the far north western tip of Nacogdoches in the Sacul-Cushing area. Should I demand 1/4 or is 1/5 more the norms these days? How much per acre should I expect for just a lease? While we were with Samson another gas company laid a pipe line literally along the outside of our family fence line, I know I (or my father that is) missed an opportunity there. My place is at  31°47'27.30"N  94°52'57.68"W if that helps with which company I should go with.

Mary---recommend you go to EOG web site royalty relation department and email them with all your information to confirm you are a NPRI and request complete data on well then if they reply you got in writing what's going on.

Any advice would be appreciated! I am an NPRI owner on Badders Family Unit, which has been producing since June, 2011. I signed a pooling agreement with EOG in May, 2010, but have not received any royalty payments from them despite being in contact with numerous (serial) landmen and EOG personnel over the past >3 years. I'm always told that "yes, it's coming veerryy soon". Should I give up or what? I feel like I'm being a nuisance.........

All Texas land and mineral owners should check out http://www.tlma.org/legislative.htm

HB100 is a very bad bill for individual property owner rights in Texas. Oppose forced pooling! Contact the House Energy Resources Committee beforectheir vote on Wednesday 3-13 and ask each one to VOTE NO ON HB 100!

I just received my first royalty check from EOG and do not understand the production figures.  When I compare them with the figures reported to RRC they are not even close.  Should they not be the same or is there something else I need to understand about the reporting system?  This is my first royalty check ever and I sure have a lot to learn.  Help please.

I have approx 53 acres in the James Windsor Survey area of Nacogdoches County (supposedly ontop of the Haynesville Shale) and another 1/6 part share of an 11 acre undivided tract (in same survey area).   What do I need to do to get them leased out?   Also, can anyone tell me what the going lease offers and royalty percentage offers are at this time?

Does anyone know if the Samson Michelle has been fracked yet, or if there's any way to find out?
