For those of us out of state, give us updates as this thing moves through, that is until/if you lose electricity. We're hoping and praying this post stays empty. Also, if you are in the S. LA let us know how the evacuation went.

For those who post pictures/video, I'll feature them up top.

Doesn't seem to have that much rain so far about 6 inches, lot of wind hitting my house, may be gusts to 70 or 75 mph. Power is out over most of Rapides Parish, the eye wall is starting to cross Alexandria.
What's going on there now...did Shreveport lose power?
According to Swepco's website, there were under 8k customers (La & Tx) who lost power.

Our power went out for about an hour and a half.
No loss of power in SE S'port that I know of. Last night strong gusts of wind, but this morning I saw no roof shingles on ground, still has my chimney. News now reporting about 2,400+ in Bossier, 3,300+ in Shreveport without power but no specific locations given. Last I heard, there are over 11,000 evacuees in area. Rain is slow & steady now, has been all night, and no strong winds. I haven't seen any reports of flooding or street closings.

Most requests for supplies are now for underwear & socks, baby necessities, and games for kids in shelters to play. Only food requested are ready/easy to eat like peanut butter, dry cereal.
We still haven't lost power in North Shreveport. (Knock on wood!) Watch...as soon as I post this our power will go out. =( Let's hope not.
Not much damage in N. Sabine...except for that one big oak on the top of my roof. We lost electricity around 7pm last night--still out. Our generator is up and going. We lost it for 7 days when Rita came through.

we are ok here at South Webster/Bossier line!!! Alot of wind and rain, listening in on the scanner and it could be alot worse!!
We lost power at our home in South Webster/Minden last night at 5:30 P.M. and were just restored power today at around 12:00. We are with Entergy. So glad to have our power back!
We lost power at our home in N. Sabine at about 8 p.m last night and still have no power. Lost phone service also but have it back now. Running on generator power.
I got the POWER!
Just came back on here in Red River rural areas....
Lost it last night at 10:30 or so.

I betcha I had the highest price generator in all of North LA!
1991 Ford F350 Dually running 200 watt power inverter jerryrigged to the batteries.
It was capable of small TV, small FAN, but if you needed more light one had to go. Bet that truck burnt 10 gallons diesel last night and today, but we are all caught up on Jimmy Kemmel Live and SOAPS.
Hey anyone gave the guys on KTBS, KSLA a hand yet?? Props to them, if I had been working there last night, the camera would have panned to me, and I'd have been asleep! Way to go guys. We needed that info.
