LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
A company called Align Midstream Partners II announced its new facility in Angelina County. The natural gas gathering treatment and pipeline facility is serving BP. BP is conducting its largest on shore project in Deep East Texas.
An Align Midstream spokesman says it's estimated the company will spend $30 million in the next 18 months in Angelina County. The facility was started in November of 2017 and became operational in February of 2018. It's located 3 1/2 miles northeast of Lufkin.
Align Midstream Partners II serves the growing Haynesville shale production in Angelina County. Our greenfield gathering system consists of 12” – 16” diameter pipelines and is continually expanding to meet new drilling in the area. In addition, Align has recently completed the installation of an expandable 400 GPM Amine facility with over 200 MMSCFD of residue takeaway with NGPL and Gulf South pipelines.
BP is up to 7 rigs drilling Haynesville Shale wells on the southern end of the fairway. 4 are in Angelina County.
