We live on Rust Lane, just the Williams Road. I have seen a new pad going in on the Keithville-Keatchie Road about a mile or two south of Williams Road.  Also quite a bit of traffic on Williams Road of those heavy belly dump style trucks too.  I was wandering if this "new" activity might mean the possibility of drilling to begin again on Williams Road?  Especially within our section; SECTION 11 - TOWNSHIP 15 NORTH - RANGE 15 WEST CADDO PARISH??  John Carrigan

What are Indigo Minerals? John

Well, our "unit well" is with Chesapeake. Maybe Indigo will buy there interests and begin drilling. John

Indigo already owns the development rights to the Cotton Valley through a Joint Venture agreement with Chesapeake.  Your "unit well" is a Haynesville well.  The Cotton Valley is a different drilling and production unit.

Morning.  Need some updating if you know.  We just received the standard legal letter informing us of a hearing for a permit to drill.  It is for 4 additional units that will reach into our section.  However the request is for INDIGO DRILLING not Chesapeake.  It also appears as though Indigo is being more aggressive about their play in our area, true?

Any company holding the development rights may unitize any formation or zone they intend to develop.  Indigo, by way of Chesapeake, holds the development rights from the surface of the earth  to the base of the CV in your area (Chesapeake owns the deep rights). The CV is the best development target in that range and Indigo specializes in CV wells.

Now tell me what a CV well is.

CV stands for Cotton Valley which is a formation or zone of rock which is often targeted as a hydrocarbon reservoir in this area of the country.

John,

Indigo used to have large holdings in your area. Back in the boom they sold their deep rights to CHK and retained the CV on up.

indigo is building a double pad on the Booker Rd to drill 15/15,  Sections 13 & 14, among others.

Some friends of mine in the area of Williams Rd. got a letter yesterday about  units being formed to drill multiple wells in some sections.  I have not seen the letter.

Which Operator was filing for the Units, Chesapeake, Exco Resources, or Indigo?

Indigo is on my letter
