Devon Energy Corporation reported that the Kardell Gas Unit 1H had an average 24-hour initial production rate of approximately 30.7 million cubic feet (Mmcf) of natural gas equivalent per day.
The well was drilled to a depth of 18,000 feet and was completed using a lateral of 4500 feet. The well is located in San Augustine County, Texas.
I would be interested in seeing what the actual monthly production from the Kardell Gas Unit 1H well has been and compare it to actual production from some of the better Louisiana wells and see if it holds up as #1. I have some doubts.
That was said yesterday in their call... 3 MMcfd. But they also said it produced 1 BCF in 90 days. It will be interesting to see how they proceed with subsequent wells in the area.
Acknowledged at 3 mmcfd in yesterday's con call.
Kardell #1H
trrc reported production
10/2009 176 MMCF
11/2009 0
12/2009 210 MMCF
plus Devon 2/2010 conference call with analyst now at 3 MMCF/day
Jay,
Why does HK have soooo many good wells? Is it the good locations of their leases (Elm Grove, RR Bull Bayou)? Or is it the extra money they put into their wells? (They claim well costs to be $8-9M, while most others are now claiming $7-8M.) Do you have thoughts?
It would be nice if Les B brought back his Hall of Fame list....
Henry, I will provide an update next week.
some of the Texas Wells in Nacogdoches and San Augustine with production thru 12-2009 as reported by TRRC-working to add in other areas
