Canadian Wastewater Company Resolves to Restore Integrity

Sacre bleu!!!!!  No, this incident didn't involve the frac process that happens deeeppppp underground, the multiple stages of frac stimulation.  It is, however, one of the necessary steps involved in the fracing process.  Wouldn't need wastewater disposal if there were no fracing going on.  Or am I mistaken?

And just so we're clear, I don't use this incident to broadbrush the entire industry.  It is one (of many?) isolated incidents.  IMO, it does indicate a need to assess & adjust on many levels.  80)

from the article ...

"The Canadian company, with a wastewater treatment facility at The Port of Shreveport-Bossier, desires to do that, in part, with a revolutionary system that could be a "game changer" in Haynesville Shale production. CCS is betting the system, which recycles wastewater from gas well drilling, will be embraced by exploration and production companies anxious to balance the need for drilling water against the growing demand for conservation.

Phil Vogel, CCS Midstream Services LLC president, said the company's efforts to develop the system — CCS would not divulge its name because of proprietary concerns — are a reflection of its commitment to sound environmental practices."

Sesport,

CCS acquired some local service companies a few years back.  Any chance this location/action was from one of those acquired companies?

Hmmm? So a company that illegally dumped waste water into the river is now wanting to be trusted with more waste water to dispose of....

Kind of sounds like a known bank robber wanting to be put in charge of bank security..doesn't it?

P.G.

I've never robbed a bank, but I know how to.  A Long ranger mask, a note, a money bag, and a fake pistol to wave in the air.  Are you game?  If so, meet me at the downtown branch next to river at 2:00 P.M. and we cross the river and break the Horseshoe with our take.  lol.

P.S.  Only $5.00 slots, if you want to play poker, you'll have to go it alone.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
