THE GHS HAYNESVILLE SHALE RIG TRACKER.  2021

I'll update each week so we can follow the rig count.  I am only counting rigs drilling the Haynesville and Bossier formations.  Many industry rig numbers are for the "Haynesville Area",  however they may defined that, and includes wells drilling other formations.

How can you tell when land got put in a unit

If your mineral ownership is clearly evidenced in the parish or county public record, you would have been sent a notice letter when the unit was formed.  In a majority of cases you would have also received an offer to lease your mineral rights.  If you are in Louisiana, an existing unit may be identified by the section-township-range location.  A little harder in Texas by location within a survey.  Are you sure you own your mineral rights?  Would your minerals be in the Lake Arthur, LA area?

Skip,

What's the going rate for fracking water?  Producers are scouting for water sources for continued drilling.

thanks!

JHH, I haven't heard from anyone selling water in a long time.  I suspect that it depends on the level of demand and the particular location(s).  I suggest you post your question in the appropriate parish or county group.  Keep in mind that when you start a new discussion on a group page, all the members of the group get an email notice that a new discussion has been posted.

10-4.

As Skip mentioned, location is key.  As reverence, The going rate in Harrison county for bulk supply is $0.20 to $0.25 per bbl.  The key to good price is how much water you have and how close to the well you are.  You also have to consider what your neighbors have and how low they will sell for.  There are other points to consider, such as flow line row and staging ponds.  If you have a large supply, then the use of an attorney is well worth it.

Good info. Thanks for those data points

thanks for the information

Skip, you have BPX listed twice in Red River. If BPX had two rigs in RR, you would normally have indicated BPX (2), rather than two listings. Is it correct at 2? The week before Vine had (3) in Sabine, but a rig could be in transit on the 12th.
