If rigs are drilling in the county, is there any way to look up which well? The only way I can tell now is by completion report. Thanks

Ken,
There are two ways that I know of whereby the general public can keep up with current drilling.
The first is Baker Hughes Rig Count Map which has the rig locations as of the previous Friday. It is free but it has very limited data now. It is not always up to date and it only shows the location and very general well info.
The other is to buy a subscription from Rig Data. They provide well API #, operator, driller, rig name/#, location, permitted depth, profile, spud date, days drilling and, sometimes, drilling dept. The subscriptions start at $35/mo., I think, and you will get a report every Friday.
Thanks jffree1.
