Southwest of Winnfield, LA. It was airlifted not pulled or skidded on the ground. Legend has it that the Spanish stashed a large amount of gold there that was left when the French took over. An attorney from Natchitoches acquired the property back in the 1800's. Some say that this attorney of modest means became very rich after acquiring the property. The "Barb Wire Barron" Edenborne, was owner the property, as I recall, when the cypress tree was harvested.There were birds and critters that lived there unlike any other that lived in Louisiana back then.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
