Haynesville Shale - Well Hall of Fame (7/15/10)

Now that the "Hall of Fame" has reached 100 wells I thought it may be a good time to update the list with the latest information. Fourteen different operators now have featured wells.

There are eight (8) parishes and counties with wells on the list with the top two being Red River (37) and DeSoto (31). Top operators are Petrohawk (28), EnCana (18), Questar (11), Exco (9), Chesapeake (8) and Comstock (7).

Texas now has three of the top four wells.

The list includes wells that had an initial rate above 20 MMcfd.

As much I agree with alot of your statements on this blog, I would venture to say Jay knows MUCH more about cumulative production and how to go about finding a more definitive measure of production in that sense rather than going off intial production like most do. We know you are in a very good spot and only future production over the next 10 years will truly tell the story, but your experience stops at that. Jay has been in the business for over 30 years and knows this stuff like the back of hand. I pity the day he decides to leave this blog because of comments such as this, I learn something from him everyday and would love to continue to as long as I can. Just my two cents.

Jack Blake thinks there is only a small handful of experts on GHS and we should all show them the love.
Jack tries not to hate, but he sometimes hates on lawyers. Jack is gonna turn over a new leaf and try to not hate on lawyers.

Okay,

I'm too lazy to create such lists manually so I set up a spreadsheet to extract the production summaries from the web. Since my minerals are 99% in Texas I started with the RRC data. I'm not sure if I have the latest hall of fame wells for Texas. If Les or anyone can direct me to the latest list, I would appreciate the help. Below is a screen shot of the stuff I have done so far for Texas. I'll give Sonris a shot when I have more time.

As you folks know - these averages can get somewhat skewed by the first "month" of production which may be any portion of a month. Things will "average" out more representatively in some cases when we have more months of production to average.
