Indigo Minerals LLC just sent me pre-application notices on 3 Cotton Valley units they're forming in T15N 14W sec 8,17,19.  Is there some horizontal cotton valley potential here?  Indigo looks to have some good production from the cotton valley in the past few months.

The majority of leases with vertical Pugh clauses only release the rights to the depths below the deepest depth produced at the end of the primary term.  The CV is shallower and therefore HBP by Haynesville production.

CV RA SU133 is an Encana CV unit by way of Order 191-A-234 granted April 21, 2009.

Skip, thanks for looking all that up. I did not know that a lower depth well would hold shallower depths even though there was a pugh clause. I learn something all the time from you "pros" on this site.

So in Sec. 21 of 15/14 Encana is the operator. Will they farm out the shallow to someone like Indigo as Chesapeake has done or will they drill it themselves. Same for the other large operators like Exco, Xto.

Will they drill it or farm it? Also, when drilling the horizontal CV, what is the time frame to get it to production compared to a Haynesville

can't say if Encana will drill or farm out.

Devon, BHP, XTO SWEPI I would think would drill on their own.  Not sure about Exco.

Time frame is fairly similar from drilling to production, but production may require more infrastructure (jt units) to get the most out of the production .

The hearing notice came in the mail today.  02-14-12.

for which sections/township/range Frank

8, 17, 19 in 15-14.

Has anyone else received any letters of more units forming for CV

Hi Does a shallow well, like 9500 feet mean it is going to produce less than a deeper well?

I received a email from Maverick Land Services, Inc, My minerals are in Marion County, Texas, 33.66 acres, T. Bruton Survey, A-23  When you guys talk about T15 etc is that the same as my A-23?  30 years ago I leased the rights to drill but no one ever drilled.  Do they have to pay a lease even if I don't own surface land?  My cousin claims that I lost the surface land to back taxes.  I
