Does anyone know if the success that Indigo is having in the cotton valley
going to spread into section 033 16n-13w (Elm Grove) in South Caddo?

Does sec 5 15n 14w Caddo fall in there somewhere?
Yes, far NW 15N-14W.
Skip or Jay,
Will Haynesville shale well logs (for nearly every section in SW Caddo and NW DeSoto) provide the data necessary to show the presence or absence of a productive Cotton Valley zone?
Aren't the Indigo horizontals mainly on land leased with Chesapeake? Are there any of these type wells being drilled by BHP, Encana
Jay
can you tell me if section 22 T16N 14W is included
New Indigo CV Unit in Bethany-Longstreet Field, S8-14N-16W.

Skip.....does 6-15-15 fall into that?
No, but it is in the vicinity. S6-15N-15W is five sections east and one section north. If this well is productive it will be a good indication that your section may be also.
Is there an updated map of this formation that Indigo is drilling? What about sec. 21 of 15n14w? It is with Encana. Have you all seen any info where Encana or BHP is drilling the shallows on their leases?
Indigo has a graphic of their CV horizontal play fairway on their website. Use this link and note that the upper right township with the "o" in "Caddo" is 16N - 14W. The fairway runs southwest from that point and crosses over into Panola County.
Thanks, Skip and KCM.
Yep, it's starting to get interesting yet again, that's for sure. Can't wait 'til the operators start exploratory testing due east on the other side of the Red.
Bet HK/BHP will wanna spud some of their holdings for this CV "oil" concept (i.e., hopefully on or near our land in S. Bossier 16N 11W). That'd be a nice diversification for us.
Skip I must be really getting old as when I enlarge it gets fuzzier and fuzzier and I can't make out township/range. It goes from Caspiana to Logansport Fields. Isn't the Bethany Longstreet in between those fields

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
