Devon is drilling and CXPO is watchin'... hmmm.

Thanks - i'm hearing more rumblings about James Lime...

Is the James Lime in question liquid rich?

Condensate rich, and potentially oil at least in a few areas.  I get the idea that some of the seismic done for the Haynesville/Bossier may have identified a few good areas.

A lot of drilling was done at the county line several years ago but the new interest is further south and east so it will be interesting to see what they find.  Devon has had a couple of pretty good wells with considerable condensate, so far.

The James Lime in that area looks to produce real condensate and oil, not just the liquid rich gas operators toss at analysts.  That makes a big difference.

The other help is the operators can see ML shows when they drilled the Haynesville/Bossier Shale wells in the area.

"..see ML shows when they drilled the Haynesville/Bossier Shale wells in the area" seems to describe what Devon is doing since all of their efforts have been on units that already have a HA well.

I am curious about the efforts further south & east by operators (unknown in this area... Harding Co. and W&T Offshore) who appear to be drilling on shallower intervals of acreage being held by (leased to) EOG and EnCana (in the HA), specifically along the Sabine/San Augustine county line.

That Kardell 2h came in flowing on open choke at 361bbl and 4200mcf per day.

The James, in my opinion, was going to be a bigger play until it was overshadowed by the Haynesville.

Is the James Lime the same as Cotton Valley?

No. It's roughly 1000-2000ft above.

Thanks.

I went to the IP and saw the 4.2 mcf per day but didn't see the 361 bbl. Did you find that on the IP?
