For much of this websites online life the site architecture enabled emails for members to be notified of new discussions posted to the main page or to the sub groups to which they belonged. If they made a reply in a discussion thread or used the option to "follow" the discussion without making a reply, they would receive a notice email for each new reply. Those functions were key to keeping members informed and engaged. Our traffic and active members have declined because of those losses. If you would like to let Keith know that you miss those functions and would like to have the benefits again, please make a reply in this discussion thread and send Keith a message using the following link.

To me, it is very frustrating to not receive notices of new postings.
I only see these when I take the time to check for "new postings" in the Top Content list when I am in the system after I receive a notice of a new posting.
And then clicking the "follow" option
Very difficult to build and maintain momentum as to various discussions if the word is not being broadcast the members.
I would like the "response" feature to be reactivated. Any method available to see input from members would be appreciated.
I am looked into this in the past and am relooking into this now. I did nothing I know of to trigger the change.
With 168 views so far, I think that a number of members are interested in the possibility of reinstating these critical site functions. Here's hoping that Keith can do it.
